Asked Questions

How to view in person?
Our pieces are shown by appointment only. Please use the Contact page to let us know what you are interested in, and when you’d like to see it. We are usually able to show pieces within the hour and have flexible hours too.

What type of payment do you accept?
We are happy to accept cash, eft payments, and Snapscan. Our prices reflect the current market value of similar pieces as well as the condition.

Where are you located?
We are located in Cape Town, 24 Lower Scott Road, Observatory. We are available by appointment between 9am and 7pm Monday to Sunday.

Do you ship/deliver furniture?
Yes. We assist customers with deliveries in nearby areas. Costs vary on the address. And are happy to help with courier details and dropping pieces at couriers if needed. Their costs are dependent on item size and delivery address.

What is the condition of these pieces?
We only sell vintage items. Most of our items are in good to excellent vintage condition. We restore all our wooden pieces and reupholster certain pieces. We try to be as careful as possible in cataloging damage or issues in our descriptions, but understand that this is vintage, used furniture and is not brand new. If you have any specific questions or would like more details about a piece, please contact us.

Do you buy furniture as well?
Yes. We purchase mid-century and vintage furniture. Let us know what you are interested in selling.

Do you allow returns?
Since all pieces are vintage, with some expected use and wear, we cannot accept returns on any item. We do our best to accurately represent each item and are happy to provide you with as much information as possible before purchasing.

DO YOU ALLOW TRADE-INS?
No. Due to the nature of the vintage furniture business, our policy is not to accept trade-ins on pieces previously purchased.

Courier Charges
For now, we deliver in Central Cape Town for a charge and can recommend Courier companies to deliver outside the metro area and South Africa.

Will I get a call when the furniture is going to be delivered?
For large items or bulk orders, we will contact you as soon to arrange a day and time for delivery to ensure you will be home.

What if I need help selecting something that will work in my space?
We are always here for you and happy to help you find the perfect piece for your home that suits your needs best. Feel free to contact us anytime with questions or even email a picture of your space so we can help you narrow down your options to find something you love.

How will I know if my furniture will fit through my door?
Please contact our team if you have any questions about your space or the dimensions of an item to ensure it can get to the room of your choice. You can also find the dimensions on the product page to see if that answers your question!
