John Tabraham was the designer of choice for many premium South African furniture manufacturers during the 1950s and 60s.
“Decorative Art, The Studio Yearbook”, by Taschen, showcased four of John Tabrahams designs in “Decorative Art 1950’s.
John Tabraham worked closely with DS Vorster in the 50’s and designed clean lines, well crafted elegant pieces. He then worked with Kallenbach in the 60’s and 70’s with organic shapes prevalent of Danish style.
A Beautifully restored three seater solid teak sofa, with geometric lines and curves, reupholstered.
The craftsmanship and joinery is superb.
