A beautifully designed sofa with an easy daybed setting.
With intricate craftwork, solid base, under the base, and a pretty efficient yet complex mechanism that was quite a challenge to loosen and fit back in. We went online and the coin slotting to stretch the coil totally worked.
Restored reclamped and varnished with the natural lighter teak tone coming through.

We sold the armchairs a few weeks ago, sorry. A very comfortable mattress, a firm backrest, and is perfect for any home, apartment, studio, or waiting room.

We thought the set was Scandinavian but after restoring this piece and struggling with it, and the original imperial bolts and nuts that you can’t find…. we realized with reference it’s German. “Made to last many lifetimes”.

We will miss this piece as it became a daily drawing and lazing in the sun daybed for our kids.
