A pair of 1960s sleigh chairs by Peter Hvidt & Orla Morlgaard for France & Son.
We had the wood restore it’s in very good condition with age appropriate wear for a piece of this age. The upholstery is original with slight fade on certain areas. It’s missing the France and Sons emblem. We’ve done research on this particular chair and has the same attention to detail as any France and Sons just no emblem.
Hvidt and Morlgaard’s brings across there trademark sculpted teak arms and clean lines and this design is both comfortable and capacious. The upturned arms, slatted back and sleigh legs create a wonderfully distinctive shape. The newly upholstered sprung cushions providing optimum comfort. The steel spring webbing is in excellent condition and highly unlikely to ever deplete. The beautiful teak back makes this a perfect free-standing chair. The teak, with beautiful, rich grain, is in excellent condition.
