Mahogany Frystark 3 piece lounge suite. Sold
A Frystark lounge suite with high back neck rest, curved arms and arched like legs from, mahogany wood.
With some research, I discovered the manufactured was a local furniture maker called Frystark and lounge suit is called the Gloria. They made a range of popular mid-century furniture sideboard, tables, and dining sets during the 60’s and 70. In the catalog, it was called the Gloria range. We restored the couch it needed upholstery straps restored the wood and finish it off with a matt varnish. The fabric had tweed finish which completed that authentic 70’s look that’s popular today.
To clean and restore vintage pieces takes patience and time to sanding down the wood then having to varnish it is a craft in its own right. Very happy with the end result and so to was the client that bought.
