The Ercol studio couch graced many homes in the 1960’s and continue so today.

It’s a fine example of U.K craftsmanship and part of Ercol’s Windsor range. Designed to function as a large couch and as an occasional single bed. Made from Beech wood frame and elm wood backrest.

The light beechwood compliments the design style and adds light contrast to the overall design. It has a rubberised webbing that gives extra support to the seat and back cushions that are made of foam. The upholstery is in good condition not great, there’s still support them just slightly faded in a certain area.

Local furniture maker Lubis had a copy made the difference in an extra middle tapered leg. We’ve restored the wood and added a clear varnish. Lucian R Ercolani is the founder of Ercol in 1920. He designed many products over the years with the Windsor range remains the most popular. it was reintroduced some of his classic designs which form part of the recoil originals
